Unparalleled Traction and Control
Discover a new driving experience with the Blackline Clio 2RS JC5 ATB Differential, also suitable for the Renault 5 JB3 gearbox. This high-quality component is engineered to provide superior traction and control, making it an indispensable addition for every Clio 2RS. By transmitting power smoothly and progressively across the wheels, this differential ensures your car's performance is optimised in all conditions.
Applications:-
- Renault Clio Sport 172
- Renault Clio Sport 182
- Renault 5 Turbo
- For fitment with JB3 or JC5 gearboxes. (Due to the nature of the installation we highly recommend having the differential installed by an experienced technician in JC5 gearboxes.)
Quality and Durability for Enhanced Performance
Crafted from top-quality materials, the Blackline JC5 Clio 2RS ATB Differential is built for endurance and robust performance. It's designed to resist wear and tear, ensuring longevity even under extreme driving conditions. Not only does this differential enhance your vehicle's handling, but it also provides improved power transfer, promising an exhilarating driving experience every time.
Helical LSD Advantages:-
- Equal rotational speed to both wheels
- Torque distributed according to traction
- Minimal service requirements - no clutches
- Quick reaction compared to viscous LSDs
- Gentle and progressive engagement, low noise
- Easily controlled power take-off and drifting
- Gears and body manufactured from 8620 alloy steel
The benefit of installing an LSD is to improve your straight line traction and also aid handling by providing consistent traction. This torsen type differential provides smooth transition in torque without the grabbiness of a plate type LSD.
The diff operation is identical to the Torsen parallel gear system, similar to Quaife. The bodies are drop forged for increased strength and less cost because of reduced machining time. Offers a great value alternative to the Quaife ATB.
Once installed, drivers will notice an immediate difference, as the limited slip differential automatically biases the torque across the axle to the wheel with the most grip. Unwanted wheelspin and slip are greatly reduced, resulting in less understeer.
On front wheel drive cars the limited slip differential also delivers significant performance benefits during heavy braking. In this situation the differential’s inherent torque transfer characteristics work in reverse to transfer torque away from the locking wheel. This enhances deceleration, delaying the intrusion of electronic ABS systems and allowing drivers to brake later and deeper with the limited slip differential than is possible with a standard ‘open’ differential unit.
Add these benefits together and it’s hardly surprising that in outright performance terms the differential can make a remarkable difference compared to an ‘open’ differential.
