K-Tec Racing can proudly supply the Clio 4RS M5M engine. These are used in road Renault Sport 200 EDC and 220 Trophy models as well as a lot of motorsport applications, including the Clio Cup with the X98 Cup Race cars.
The engines we are providing are brand new, but old Renault stock so we are able to offer them at a huge discount over Renault's retail price. Renault supply these engines for £7865.75 including UK VAT retail price at the time of writing this listing (Feb 2025) and are backorder with no date of availability. Please note - Engines do not come with a Renault warranty hence price.
We are able to install the engines in our Ferndown, Dorset workshop. Please email workshop@k-tecracing.com for a quote. (Please note a new water pump and auxiliary belt kit will be required when installing in our workshop and is highly recommended for self installation of the engine.)
These engines are out of the OEM engine factory, full units with all accessories Including crank pulley, ECU harness, manifold, turbo, fuel pump, electrics etc but excludes the water pump and aux belt kit.
The MR16DDT engine was co-developed with Renault and in the Renault engine production line it is called M5M.
The M5M / MR16DDT is a 1.6L (1,618 cc, 98.78 cu.in.) straight four, 4-stroke turbocharged petrol engine from the Nissan MR-engine family. The MR16DDT also called DIG-T on the Nissan models meaning - Direct Injection, Gasoline, Turbocharged engine.
The M5M / MR16DDT features lightweight aluminium block with fully balanced five-bearings crankshaft and aluminium head with two camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder.
M5M Compression ratio rating is 9.5:1. Cylinder bore and piston stroke is 79.7mm. The M5M engine has electronic throttle, continuous variable valve timing system on both cam shafts (Twin CVTC), electronic ignition with individual coil packs on each spark plug, direct injection mechanism and turbocharger. (Nissan specification engines will have a different compression ratio, please email us if you are looking to order an engine for a Nissan model)
