We now have our lightweight single mass billet flywheel available for all Megane 3 RS models including the 250, 265, 275, including Cup and Trophy versions.This flywheel is a direct replacement for the original dual mass flywheel and this new flywheel weighs 5.7kg compared to the 12.1kg of the standard dual mass flywheel.
Once fitted you will notice a faster spool up time for the engine making it more responsive, this is due to there being less rotating mass (weight) for the engine to spin up.
This flywheel can be fitted with the standard clutch kit.
We also recommend changing the flywheel bolts when fitting a new flywheel and also the slave cylinder every time the gearbox is removed.
With this single mass flywheel, it is typical to get some gearbox noise resonate in to the cabin of the car. This is perfectly normal with this flywheel.
