When increasing the power, rev limitations or exhaust gas temperatures you need to upgrade the valves and valve springs. The uprated valves are designed to withstand all of the additional strains and temperatures they may be exposed to in competition or highly tuned performance engines.
The inlet valves are made from high grade stainless steel and are black nitride coated for added durability and for reduced friction. The exhaust valves are made from inconel which is a lightweight metal which is used to handle the extreme heat generated by highly tuned engines. In both cases the valves are significantly stronger than the standard items. We have seen many cases where tuned engines have suffered the valve heads breaking off on high revving engines, installing uprated valves will prevent this from happening.
Equally Turbo charged engines with Higher Exhaust Gas Temperatures will gain stability and strength from installing these valves.
The price is for a set of 8 inlet or 8 exhaust valves which are listed separately from the drop down menu.
