Suitable for all Megane 3RS 250, 265 and 275 models including Cup and Trophy, this performance brake disc kit has been designed to work with the original Brembo 4 pot calipers as these are well up to the job of stopping the car given the right discs, pads, braided lines and brake fluid to work.
The kit uses a pair of Performance Friction slotted 348mm rotors which are made from high carbon alloy with copper and molybdenum for high temperature strength, they are then heat treated for micro structure alignment and durability. They are then tested for run out to a tolerance of less than .0005 inches. The rotors also feature handed vanes to reduce thermal warping and vibration.
The rotors are then fitted to the car using the Performance Friction V3 fully floating mounting snap ring system so that no bolts or nuts are used to secure the rotor tangs to the hats, this greatly reduces the time needed to replace rotors and also reduces costs of replacements as new bolt kits are not required.
The full PFC kit includes 1 pair of slotted rotors with V3 fully floating alloy hats, snap rings and 2 pairs of spacer washers. Due to the length of the standard caliper bolts these do not need replacing.
Each disc weighs approximately 7kg.
PFC has released the new V3 disc and hat technology which features a patented attachment design that uses a retention ring that holds the hat and disc tangs together. The ring means no need for torque wrenches, and no hassle. As well as being convenient, the new V3 technology is much lighter than previous designs, making it easier to put on and pull off, and making the vehicle lighter.
This V3 disc retention method is based on the use of a two-turn retaining ring, which is held in a groove in the hat that overlaps the disc tangs effectively locking the disc to the hat.
We recommend fitting this kit along with our KTR braided brake lines and one of the sets of high performance Performance Friction pads we have available on this site.
PFC advise use of their own pads with the discs as other manufacturers pads can contact the tangs of the disc, if another manufacturers pads must be used please ensure they cannot contact the tangs during braking.
The rotors are also available to buy separately once you have purchased the complete kit, this means you do not need to replace the complete kit once new rotors are needed.
