This kit replaces the standard cast stub axle with a CNC machined billet stub axle made from EN24T Chromoly steel.
The kit is supplied with new brake discs and caliper carriers
to use the original brake calipers and pads. The brake discs come
complete with larger wheel bearings (25x55x45 compared to standard
25x52x37).
The standard wheel bearings on Clio 172/182 are very small
and when used in hard competition can either wear out very quickly or
worst case, can shatter completely.
The standard stub axles are also fairly soft and can bend easily when hit.
This kit strengthens the wheel bearing/stub axle assembly
giving you longer wheel bearing life and reduces the likelihood of bent
stub axles and wheel bearing failure.
The kit includes:
2 x Billet steel stub axles CNC machined from EN24T
2 x Genuine Renault brake discs complete with wheel bearings (240mm, 4x100PCD)
2 x hub nuts
2 x Brake caliper brackets machined from Aerospace grade 6082 aluminium
8 x M10 fixing bolts and nyloc nuts
Please note: this kit can't be used with the standard
ABS system as no provision is made for a reluctor ring on the disc or
sensor mounting bracket.
