This kit replaces the entire gear linkage system, from the gear knob to the gearbox.
The gear knob is placed much higher than standard and farther back to aid quick, accurate shifting.
The stroke of the gear linkage is similar to that of standard so that
the synchromesh isn't rushed, but precise and accurate gear selection
is achieved.
This innovative kit replaces the gearshift cables with a rod change
linkage. Any cable shifter can never match the accuracy and feel of
shift that a direct linkage has due to the friction and flex of cables.
Our kit features a unique chassis mounted bellcrank and A arm mechanism
behind the gearbox with our traditional in car tower arrangement, using
spherical, ball, and rod end bearings throughout to make a shift that is
as accurate and precise as possible.
The in car shifter has a billet alloy spherical bearing carrier. The
reverse lockout is a plastic insert and reverse is engaged by lifting
the carbon and alloy tube up and over the insert. The linkage rod itself
fits snugly between the floor of the car and the exhaust heatshield
with no modification necessary. The front A arm and bellcrank assembly
bolts into existing points on the chassis with no drilling on RHD (one
hole required for LHD models - where rivnut and bolt are supplied)
The kit includes everything you need:
- aluminium alloy linkage rods with rod ends and ball joints
- front A arm with bearings,
- linkage rod,
- in car tower with spherical bearing,
- gear stick with carbon reverse lockout sleeve
- gear knob
- and all associated bolts required for fitting.
