This is a racing 4-2-1 exhaust manifold suitable and essential to make maximum power with engines using high lift, long duration camshafts and individual throttle body fuel injection.
The manifold features:
Primary and secondary pipe sizes and lengths designed by top engine consultant Sandy Brown,
Stepped exhaust flange to reduce exhaust reversion back into the exhaust ports,
Separate primary and secondary pipes.
Slip on handmade merge collectors held on with springs rather than clamps.
Full 304 stainless steel construction, back purged and TIG welded so that the inside of the welds are smooth, improving gas flow. These systems are designed by Pure Motorsport and are made by a UK supercar exhaust manufacturer exclusively for them.
Gives a very good increase in midrange torque (up nearly 20lbft at 4250rpm) and power is up everywhere with nearly 10bhp increase at 4250rpm and approx. 8bhp at 6250. This is tested on a mildly tuned Clio 200 Race car.
This manifold can be fitted directly with Pure Motorsport racing exhaust systems. The manifold is longer than the standard manifold so if you wish to retain a 2.5" bore exhaust system from a different manufacturer then it will need to be modified to accept a slip joint connection further down stream of the current standard type olive connection.
The manifold is supplied with a Renault gasket.
