The redesigned high-performance intercooler by WAGNERTUNING features an innovative competition core (Tube Fin) tailored specifically for the Hyundai I30N. The dimensions of the core are as follows: 580 mm x 150 mm x 135.4 mm + 580 mm x 62 mm x 70 mm (stepped core: 14.3 liters) / 22.83 inches x 5.91 inches x 5.33 inches + 22.83 inches x 2.44 inches x 2.76 inches (stepped core: 872.64 cubic inches). This core offers a remarkable 44.3% increase in frontal surface area and a substantial 101.4% boost in core volume compared to the stock intercooler.
The precision-designed aluminum cast end tanks were meticulously engineered using CAD and optimized through CFD simulations to ensure ideal internal airflow. The outcome is exceptional cooling efficiency with minimal back pressure. To provide ample airflow for adjacent components, such as the water cooler, a specially designed air baffle has been incorporated. This feature makes the kit particularly well-suited for racing applications, ensuring optimal cooling of the charged air and a significant performance enhancement.
To safeguard against environmental factors and enhance heat conduction, the WAGNERTUNING intercooler boasts an anti-corrosion powder coating. This coating ensures long-lasting and efficient cooling performance. The installation process is straightforward, involving a plug-and-play replacement of the original intercooler.
